Wireless power can be done using signals such as infrared, bluetooth, radio frequency, and Wi-Fi. Remote control using radio frequency signals is very interesting because it can reach far distances without spending money. The purpose of this study is to develop a design and analyze the effectiveness of remote control of ships using radio LA antenna frequencies. Wireless radio frequency signals combined with Arduino can control the propeller and rudder so that the boat can be controlled remotely. This research uses a prototype method in the form of a control ship. The result of the study is that wireless remote control of the vessel can be done in open and closed spaces so that in the future it can be realized for absolute equipment control. The control on this prototype uses an LA antenna and no LA antenna. The result of the study is that the use of LA antennas is more effective than without LA antennas, in which the control distance in an enclosed space (with obstructions) without an LA antenna is as far as 100m and 500m when using an LA antenna. While the control distance in open spaces (without obstructions) without LA antennas, ships can be controlled up to distances of 1000m and 1300m when using LA antennas.
2023-10-29T09:20:06+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Dinamika Bahari https://ejurnal.pip-semarang.ac.id/index.php/jdb/article/view/382 Bibliometric Analysis of Research Development on Green Port Implementation in 2015-2023 2023-10-31T14:32:04+00:00 Andi Aulia Arikha Setyo [email protected] Dedy Kurniadi [email protected] Hozairi Hozairi [email protected]
The port is one of the crucial factors in maritime logistics. Green port innovation aims to increase the efficiency of existing resources, reduce the negative impact of the surrounding environment, increase environmental management, and improve the quality of the natural environment around the port. The number of scientific publications regarding green ports proves that this topic has become a global scientific publication trend. Unfortunately, the focus or pressure points of the various publications are so varied that it is difficult to know the consistency and cohesion between discussions and Indonesia as the author's country has not done much research on the application of green ports. Therefore, this study aims to look at trends in global scientific publications regarding the application of green ports in the hope that the interrelationships between concepts and topic shifts from time to time can be identified. The method used is bibliometric analysis. The population of this study was 200 articles searched for data using the Publish or Perish (PoP) application from 2015-2023; 131 articles were obtained as samples that matched the keywords obtained. Researchers used VOSviewer software version 1.6.16 to perform co-occurrence analysis with overlay and network visualization. The results of the VOSviewer software vulnerability analysis have four themes related to the implementation of green ports, namely "regulation," "Shore power," "logistics," and "green port policy," which are still rarely researched and are the latest themes in research. This theme can be used as a reference for further study.
2023-10-29T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Dinamika Bahari https://ejurnal.pip-semarang.ac.id/index.php/jdb/article/view/445 The Student Officer's Understanding of Ballast Water Treatment According to The Ballast Water Management (BMW) Convention 2023-10-31T14:31:24+00:00 Iksiroh El Husna [email protected] Nenik Kholilah [email protected] Anissofiah Azise [email protected] Widya Putri Idayatma [email protected]
The ballast water used as a ship's stabilizer when it is not loaded has a negative impact on health and the environment and even causes economic losses. One of them is caused by the pathogenic microbes in it. Therefore, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) enacted the Ballast Water Management (BWM) Convention to prevent the spread of pathogenic microbes that are very dangerous to health and the environment. The purpose of this study is to find out the extent of understanding of BWM Convention of the Deck and Engine Officer Class I and II in PIP Semarang. An analytical description and an overlap approach, including questionnaires, and in-depth interviews were applied to the research method. A total of 27 students from the deck and engine departments were included in the sample. According to the survey's findings, most participants don't fully comprehend the BWM contract. When being asked whether BWM was regulated, the correct answer was 0%. The right response when being asked whether Indonesia ratified the BWM was 0%. When being asked how the efficiency of BWM was 3.7% for the D-1 standard (ballast replacement) and 11.1% for the D-2 standard (ballast handling). However, 44.4% of respondents correctly identified the significance of treating ballast water, indicating that they are worried about the threat posed by this substance and that immediate action is required. The idea is to provide the student officers with knowledge via seminars, which could include training on maritime pollution or special ballast water training.

2023-10-29T09:07:47+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Dinamika Bahari https://ejurnal.pip-semarang.ac.id/index.php/jdb/article/view/331 Competency Test Scheme Development to Meet Competency Achievements of Graduates In Industry 2023-10-31T14:30:04+00:00 Andi Prasetiawan [email protected] Muhammad Rizky Aditya Nugraha [email protected] Arya Widiatmaja [email protected]
A competency test scheme at LSP PIP Semarang needs to be developed to increase the competitiveness of graduates and job opportunities. This study aims to formulate a competency test scheme that has the potential to be developed at LSP PIP Semarang in accordance with the needs of industry, the business world, and the world of work (IDUKA) and to determine the impact of competency certificate ownership on labor absorption. Data analysis was carried out descriptively using satisfaction index, GPA, and potential competency schemes to be developed at LSP PIP Semarang. The research was conducted through an online survey involving cadets and graduated users as respondents. The results showed that LSP PIP Semarang had a good competency test service performance. It can be seen from the high achievement of satisfaction index, which is 3.74 – 3.84. Moreover, the GPA also shows the trust level of cadets in the management of competency test services, as indicated by the achievement of an index of 5.57 – 5.68. The investigation results demonstrate that the absorption rate of the PIP Semarang graduates with competency certificates is very high, ranging from 95 – 100%. Several types of competencies are of interest to cadets, which are needed in the job market but are not yet available at LSP PIP Semarang, so they have the potential to be developed, such as K3, PPJK, and logistics. This refers to cadets' interests and the job market's current needs.
2023-10-31T02:01:23+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Dinamika Bahari https://ejurnal.pip-semarang.ac.id/index.php/jdb/article/view/437 Analyze the Implementation of Bridge Resource Management to Avoid Dangerous Situations on Vessel 2023-10-31T14:31:44+00:00 Adli Dzil Ikram [email protected] Sereati Hasugian [email protected] Suharto Suharto [email protected]
Possible factors leading to sea transportation accidents in Indonesia are divided into three, namely nature, technical, and human error. Human factor is the biggest contributor to the number of accidents at sea. One can be caused by the lack of implementation of bridge resource management on board, especially on the platform. This study aimed to identify the application of bridge resource management on board ships and provide recommendations for solving the problem of inhibiting factors of its application. The research was carried out during a 12-month shipboard training at one of the tanker ships based in Indonesia. This study used a qualitative descriptive method. Data are obtained through observation and questionnaires with related parties as primary data, and documentation and literature review as secondary data. The results showed that the application of bridge resource management still has many deviations that make its application not optimal. This is caused by factors from human resources, and other external factors such as lack of utilization of navigation equipment. Improving the quality of human resources in using navigation equipment will ensure that the Bridge Resource Management runs well on board.
2023-10-29T09:06:55+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Dinamika Bahari https://ejurnal.pip-semarang.ac.id/index.php/jdb/article/view/398 Application of FOB (Free on Board) Incoterms 2020 in Export Activities of Processed Coconut Products 2023-10-31T14:30:43+00:00 Rizqi Aini Rakhman [email protected] Intan Sianturi [email protected] Romanda Annas Amrullah [email protected]
Export activities in Indonesia are a major factor in the country's economic growth. In 2022, Cumulatively, Indonesia's export value reached US$291.98 billion, up 26.07 percent compared to 2021. Meanwhile, non-oil and gas exports reached US$275.96 billion, an increase of 25.80 percent, so export activities in Indonesia are still a significant factor in the country's economic growth. To regulate export activities that use sea transportation, exporters and importers must pay attention to the trade agreement contained in the International Commercial Terms (Incoterms) 2020; one of the terms is Free on Board (FOB). This study aims to find out how the value of FOB terms is more in the export of goods, especially in processed coconut products. The research method is descriptive qualitative with a structured interview method questionnaire with a rating scale method. The results of the study show that for exporting companies engaged in processed coconut products, FOB terms are most often used with an interval value of 37/40, or in another sense, FOB terms are the most frequently used terms in processed coconut product exporting companies. The advantage of using the FOB term for exporters is that they have responsibility until the cargo arrives on the ship and do not bear shipping costs, so freight fluctuations are avoided. It is the safest for exporters because importers must first open a Letter of Credit (L/C) as collateral and basis for export activities.
2023-10-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Dinamika Bahari https://ejurnal.pip-semarang.ac.id/index.php/jdb/article/view/402 The Effect of Ship Maneuvering and Weather on Ship Berthing Position with Icy Water 2023-10-31T14:30:23+00:00 Samsul Huda [email protected] Bambang Danang Jaya Triana Putra [email protected]
Ship maneuvering implements sailor skills in maneuvering ships from a departure place to a destination safely, effectively, and efficiently. Ship maneuvers are carried out in waters, but ship maneuvers in icy waters have serious challenges and must be executed carefully. The ice-bound maneuvering procedure must consider the technique used. Besides that, the weather factor can cause obstacles in the movement. Thus, skill in ship maneuvers and accurate analysis are needed to reach a berth position in icy waters. This research aims to analyze whether there is a significant influence between ship maneuvering techniques and weather simultaneously on the ship's berthing position in ice waters. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. The data sources were obtained through observation, the ship's bell book, and documentation, which were then processed into numbers describing the research variables. These numerical data are used in research to test hypotheses regarding the partial and simultaneous influence of ship maneuvering techniques and weather on ship berthing positions with conditions of icy waters. The study results indicate that the ship's maneuvering techniques and the weather have a significant effect partially or simultaneously on the position of the ship's berth in icy waters.
2023-10-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Dinamika Bahari
